Empathetic human.
Community builder.
Life-long learner.

Hi, my name is Nancilyn (nan-sil-lyn)! I’m a Creative Strategist with a passion for all things digital. For the past 10 years I’ve worked with clients in various industries and creative realms. From design, branding and marketing to capturing stories through photography and film, my curiosity to be challenged in all things digital while solving problems continues to grow everyday. I enjoy collaborating with people, businesses and brands to elevate their digital presence with purpose and impact at the forefront.

As an empathetic human, community builder and life-long learner, my approach to solving problems includes understanding user needs, contributing to the bigger picture and smaller details with creativity and transforming data to drive innovative solutions.

Beyond my 9-5:

✨ I empower BIPOC entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations with freelance branding, web design and brand photography to enhance their digital footprint in Canada & beyond. Industries include Education, Financial Services, Real Estate, Government, Health & Wellness, Food & Hospitality, Fashion & Retail.

😋 I lead brand and marketing initiatives at our family business Reggie’s Rolls; a Tamil-Canadian caterer & wholesaler known for its delicious deep-fried rolls. My strategic marketing initiatives allowed our brand to grow exponentially on social media platforms with a 500% increase in orders, eventee attendance, customer retention and a feature on BlogTO.

👩🏾‍🏫 I have taught and mentored aspiring UX designers on design thinking, research methods and creative design tools, while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment as College Instructor at Humber College in Toronto, ON. I developed a ‘Designing for Social Good’ Project for students that inspired them to make good design decisions with a cause.

🏆 I was honoured in 2022 as a recipient of the Tamil Canadian Centre for Civic Action's '30 Under 30' award, recognizing my contributions in design and marketing within the Toronto-Tamil small business and non-profit sector. Including my past position as Board of Director of Marketing & Communications at the Canadian Tamil Professional Association.
